Am I Tone Deaf?

Tone deafness or amusia is the inability to distinguish between different pitches and has very little to do with your ability to reproduce a pitch you hear. Poeple often confuse tone deafness with a lack of basic musicianship skills (matching pitch, singing in tune, parroting melodies played on an instrument or sung, etc). True tone deafness is very rare and affects only about 4% of people.
